Congressman Jeff Duncan represents South Carolina’s Third Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the oldest committee in Congress, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security. He also serves on the Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Prior to serving in Congress, Duncan worked for seven years in community banking before becoming President and CEO of a South Carolinabased, family-owned real estate marketing firm that specialized in statewide real estate auctions. He concurrently served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2002-2010 where he chaired the House Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee. Duncan is focused on delivering American energy independence through an all-the-above energy policy. Duncan leads the Subcommittee in developing policy to deliver affordable and reliable energy for all Americans. This encompasses legislation and issues pertaining to National Energy Policy, including policies to strengthen our electric grid, modernize our nuclear industry, expand pipeline capacity, and policies dealing with FERC.
