Anthony Livanios is an energy economist and an innovative entrepreneur. He founded US Energy Stream in 2011 with a mission is to deliver cutting edge energy intelligence and to create innovative ways for energy leaders to connect. He is passionate in promoting sustainable investments in the oil and gas industry. During his long entrepreneurial career has created one of the most influential energy business networks across the United States, Europe, and Eurasia. Today he is one of the industry’s most networked entrepreneurs. He has over thirty years of international experience in living and working in four countries and seven cities. Anthony gained global experience in working on international projects in fifty countries and he has a proven track record in delivering shareholder return. He worked in advising, negotiating, and delivering agreements for oil majors, oil independents, national oil companies, and governments. He successfully achieved intergovernmental agreements, pipeline negotiations, LNG projects, geopolitical risk assessments, and market intelligence. 

He is an energy expert and a self-made business owner who promotes industry thought leadership. He is passionate in teaching entrepreneurs, corporate executives, government leaders, and graduate students the dynamics of sustainable oil and gas investments and energy security. He is teaching American oil and gas business, shale gas revolution, LNG, the geopolitics of oil and gas pipelines for more than a decade in executive seminars and graduate courses in London, England, Frankfurt, Germany, Houston, Texas, and Washington, DC.

He was President of Poseidon Offshore Natural Gas Pipeline in Milan, Italy, Managing Director LNG Trading at M&M Gas in Athens, Greece, President of Energy Stream GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany, and today is the CEO of U.S. Energy Stream, Inc. in Houston, Texas. In the 1990s he founded three firms, American Research LLC, Impact S.A., and Alpha Metrics S.A., to offer innovative services on strategic planning, market research, and communication campaigns, and to provide hands on solutions to his customers.

Anthony has a Master’s Degree in International Political Economy from Columbia University, New York City, (1991), and a B.A. in Economics from the American University, Washington, D.C. (1988). He speaks German, Greek, and some French. He lives with his wife Peggy in Houston, Texas and have four children.
