Joe McClintock, CPA, started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and has been an independent oil and gas professional for 43 years—half the time in the US and half in Turkey. He has served as board member, president, general manager, or CFO of several exploration, production, and service companies. McClintock helped organize, syndicate, and manage over $470 million of public and private investment programs in the energy business, including oil, gas, coal, coalbed methane, geothermal, biofuels, and power generation.
McClintock has also worked in disaster management, helping to develop and manage over $44 million in EU- and World Bank-financed projects to help institutions in Turkey, Albania, and India to better prepare for and respond to man-made and natural disasters.
McClintock represented his and other energy companies to the government of Turkey, helping to craft energy legislation and regulations. He chaired the “Rule of Law” workgroup of the American Business Forum in Turkey and co-authored its white paper.
McClintock was Turkey general manager of a London-based company that discovered and developed four gas fields in the Black Sea. He led a management buyout in 2010 and sold the company in 2017 and returned full-time to Houston. He co-founded iLEX Energy Corporation, who has developed a superb gas-condensate appraisal/development project in South Texas and is looking for investors.
