Lynn Smull is Chief Financial Officer of Gevo, Inc..

In this role, he oversees the accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, internal audit, and tax functions.

He spearheads corporate and project finance, inclusive of the Net-Zero program finance needs. Lynn led the financing effort for the $75 million Gevo NW Iowa RNG, LLC project.

Lynn has 33 years of experience in capital raising, investing, lending, and M&A while working on investment banking, private equity, and IPP corporate platforms for firms such as Bechtel, Salomon Brothers, Bank of America, Calpine, and Table Rock Capital. He also has over a decade of experience in platform senior management and CFO functions.

He has led over $13 billion in complex financings, equity investments, M&A transactions, and financial restructurings. Lynn has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating commercial agreements supporting non-recourse debt financings, inclusive of lump-sum turnkey agreements that balance the needs and objectives of non-recourse lenders, equity, and EPC contractors.

He has a BA from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and served five years in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to his undergraduate studies.
